“Part Siouxsie and part Jefferson Airplane, it’s an exciting and energising listening experience [with a] primal post-punk, desert-meets-the-bayou sound.”

Reviews

  • Hollow Howl’s Horse Epic rides in like a storm on the post-punk prairie, delivering a soundscape that’s equal parts dark Western noir and gothic mysticism. With haunting female vocals soaring over an overdriven acoustic guitar, the track feels cinematic and intense, conjuring visions of dusky landscapes and shadowy riders.

  • Hollow Howl produced the perfect soundtrack for a road movie that hasn’t happened yet. This is the refrain that greets you as the desert stretches out for miles in wither direction and you gun the car engine, before spinning your wheels off into the distance. It’s the sound you hear when you’re going over the horizon and see the city appear before you, lit up like a den of sin against the black night sky.

  • Hollow Howl blurs...genres, and they incinerate the map entirely, conjuring a primordial and postapocalyptic soundscape. It's a dark anthem for restless souls, a soundtrack for midnight drives without a destination, and a testament to the band's unflinching approach to heavy music. If that is the road they're going down, we'll all be in for a ride.

The night is long. The figure travels the road through the divide. They carry nothing.

The warmth of the surface rises up, meeting the movement of space, and falling into form. Again and once again.

In the distance, a steady light calls.

Travel, travel.

Travel along the road, without water, through the end to the beginning.
